How do I join?

I don't think I am good enough?

We all have to start somewhere, everyone is welcome at our club. 

 

How do I access the Clubhouse?

You can get a key from Stella Morris (07802582575) all we ask is a £10 deposit which is refundable.

 

Can I play anytime?

Yes. Use our LTA Clubspark page to book a court or if you feel lucky just turn up.

 

How can I use the Floodlights?

Firstly, you need a clubhouse key, (see above) then you need tokens which are available from

Sheila Talbot (07483838966) & Stella Morris (07802582575) they cost £2 each for 30 minutes.

 

Do you run any teams that compete against other clubs?

We are planning to run teams in the Horam League next year, which is a Doubles competition for Men & Ladies. The matches are at home and away at other local clubs and are played on a Monday night at 18.30. Each game is best of three sets.The league usually has three divisions with promotion and relegation 

 

Can I come along and join mix-ins as a Non-Member?

Yes. You can join any mix-ins up to 3 times at a cost of £5 a session. Then, you would need to sign up to be a member.

 

I think I could be the next Andy Murray?

Join Horam Tennis Club, use our facilities,have lessons with Keith, play in the Horam team  and then go  and join a Local league to play Singles competitvely and get yourself an LTA ranking and enter tournaments locally at first (see LTA website)

 

How do tie breaks work?

Tie Break Applies at 6-6

The serve sequence follows on from last game

First serve from Deuce side for first pair

Second serve is for the other pair from Advantage side

Third serve is from deuce side

Carry on with each pair having two serves starting in Advantage side

At a total of 6 points you swap ends.

The first pair to reach 7 with a two point gap wins.

At 6-6. One pair must win by two clear points.
